HOURLY RATE: $31.37

POSITION SUMMARY:

Desirable backgrounds include mechanics and millwrights with experience in marine repair, maintenance, or new construction applications or in manufacturing, maintenance, or repair industries such as industrial machinery, automotive, aerospace, farm equipment, or other industries requiring high degrees of mechanical aptitude and competence in integrated systems assembly. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include installation of integrated system components including:

• Engines, drives, HVAC systems, Fuel systems, Hydraulic systems, Fire suppression systems, and many others.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

None but will assist Supervisor to organize and direct crew as necessary

INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS:

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees

\n

\n
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions regarding daily functions, safety rules and regulations, and possible hazardous conditions.
\n
• Ability to communicate with and instruct team members on the project.
\n

\n

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

\n
• Must have own set of tools
\n
• Hydraulics and piping experience is a plus
\n
• Familiarity with machining is a plus
\n
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
\n
• Capable of carefully following engineering drawings and procedures to perform equipment installations
\n
• Possess a strong mechanical aptitude
\n

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

\n
• Minimum five to seven years' experience in any of the above summary. Or apprentice program.
\n
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
\n

\n

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

\n
• Ability to lift, carry 60lbs., or maneuver objects, difficult objects will be lifted with the assistance of mechanical means or additional workers.
\n
• Must be able to lift 4 ft., 60 lb. spool of wire and load welding machine.
\n
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel, twist, pull, push, grip, and climb.
\n
• Capable of working from ladders and scaffolding.
\n
• Capable of working in enclosed spaces
\n

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

May be exposed to excessive noise, welding gases and fumes, and varying weather conditions. Proper protective equipment will be provided as necessary.

CITIZENSHIP: Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship.
