Overview:
A leading health system in the Finger Lakes region is seeking a New York State Certified Athletic Trainer to support athletic injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation across both school systems and clinic environments. Key Responsibilities:
Provide athletic training services under physician supervision for injury prevention, conditioning, and rehabilitation
Apply appropriate preventative and supportive techniques for athletic injuries
Educate coaches, athletes, parents, and medical personnel on injury prevention and care best practices
Work in both clinical and school settings, including event coverage per health system contract
Maintain accurate records and comply with safety and confidentiality guidelines
Participate in a flexible schedule based on sport seasons and facility needs

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
Must have New York State registration and licensure as a Certified Athletic Trainer
NATABOC Certification required
BLS Certification (must be completed via RQI system during orientation)
Must be 21 years of age or older (per NYS regulations)
Preferred Experience & Skills:
1–2 years of experience in a high school or clinic/physician practice setting
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Flexible with work sites, schedules, and responsibilities
