Description Location: Austin, TX Job Title: Front-End Email Developer (Contract) Duration: 18 Months Schedule: Monday-Friday Location: Onsite in Austin, TX Initial schedule: 4 days onsite/week After onboarding: 3 days onsite/week (M/W/Th, 8:30 a.m. - end of day preferred) About the Team Join an in-house creative and technical team that supports a wide range of business and product stakeholders. The team is made up of highly skilled developers and creatives who collaborate closely to build impactful digital marketing experiences. A degree is not required—what matters is your technical expertise and hands-on experience in email development. About The Role As a Front-End Email Developer , you'll be responsible for building, testing, and deploying responsive email templates using industry best practices. You'll work closely with platform teams, product managers, and designers to ensure high-quality execution. This role focuses on development—not campaign management—and is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities Development Develop, test, and launch complex, responsive emails using HTML, CSS, AMPscript, jQuery, and Next.js Work within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and other email platforms to implement personalized content Troubleshoot rendering issues across browsers and devices Ensure email compliance with industry regulations, accessibility standards, and best practices Continuously refine development workflows and contribute to evolving email design/development standards Collaboration & Execution Ensure timely delivery of development tasks and campaign launches Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and resolve technical challenges Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and quality Mentor or support team members by sharing technical knowledge Required Skills & Experience Strong, hands-on experience in email development (HTML, CSS, AMPscript, jQuery, Next.js) Proficient in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or similar platforms Solid understanding of dynamic content, segmentation, and personalization in email Familiarity with asset handoff workflows from design/creative teams Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects in a high-volume environment Attention to detail with excellent troubleshooting and QA skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in high-volume or agency-style environments Exposure to multiple client/stakeholder projects Experience in financial services or regulated industries (a plus) Familiarity with SQL or data manipulation in email platforms Strong written and verbal communication skills Interview Process Initial Interview: 30-minute virtual screening Panel Interview: Technical discussion (may include a coding exercise) Final Round (if needed): Team or fit interview This role is ideal for a technically strong email developer looking to build engaging, high-performance campaigns in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
