Infinity Natural Resources is an oil and gas exploration and production company located in Morgantown, West Virginia with operations throughout the Appalachian Basin. We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing our crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids exposures through effective marketing and commercial arrangements. You will be responsible for analyzing market trends, developing, and implementing hedging programs, and mitigating price risks to optimize our company's profitability. This role may be based out of our Morgantown, WV or Houston, TX office locations. What You Will Be Doing: Develop and implement comprehensive oil and natural gas marketing strategies to secure optimal sales contracts. Manage and negotiate oil and natural gas sales agreements, ensuring favorable terms for the company. Oversee the oil and natural gas marketing budget and track performance against key metrics. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify market trends, pricing opportunities, and potential buyers. Manage relationships with key industry players, including pipeline operators, traders, and potential customers. Develop and implement comprehensive hedging strategies for oil and natural gas portfolios. Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify price trends and risk factors. Utilize various hedging instruments (options, swaps, futures contracts) to manage price volatility. Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of hedging programs and make adjustments as needed. Maintain strong relationships with external counterparties and brokers. Prepare and present reports, marketing proposals, and hedging strategies to senior management. Utilize hedging strategies to mitigate price risk and ensure stable revenue streams. Stay abreast of current market conditions, regulations, and industry trends. Your Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field required; MBA preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial, risk management, or gas marketing roles within the oil and gas industry. Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing hedging strategies. In-depth knowledge of crude oil and natural gas markets, pricing dynamics, and risk management techniques. Proven track record of successfully developing and executing oil and gas marketing strategies. Strong understanding of hedging instruments and risk management techniques in the oil and gas sector. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors, colleagues, and stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary. Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job. Physical Requirements See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity. Able to operate standard office/computer equipment. Must be able to perform light work – exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
