Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics is home to the largest laboratory in NH, providing Pathology and Clinical Laboratory services to DHMC and Clinics physician practices, Dartmouth Health member hospitals, as well as to independent practices and hospitals throughout NH and VT. Our L aboratory Assistants receive laboratory specimens from inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and outside institutions. Candidates for this position must have obtained their high school diploma or GED, with some college coursework and previous laboratory experience preferred. We are seeking candidates with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability and desire to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Our laboratory team is a high-functioning, dedicated group of professionals who work diligently to the highest possible standards.
This area of the lab conducts testing on specimens to detect infections, which can include bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens. This is a hands-on job that involves a variety of unique techniques, including plating specimens to promote good microorganism growth and loading cutting-edge technology.
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week, evening-shift position working Monday-Friday 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm. This position requires working weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. We are also offering a sign-on/retention bonus for this position. *The bonus is available for external hires only and certain conditions apply.
