Job Description

The Role

ShowLabs is seeking a seasoned Lead Ecommerce Stylist to help grow and scale our styling capabilities and team. This is a key leadership role focused on elevating how our clients’ products are styled, presented, and brought to life for both retail buyers and consumers.

The ideal candidate brings experience working with leading outdoor and fashion brands, a sharp eye for product presentation, and a deep understanding of how styling impacts digital sales. You’ll be responsible for driving innovation in styling techniques and helping evolve how our clients showcase their products in high-volume, high-quality productions.

Our productions can range from 200 to 2,000 SKUs per shoot and span a wide variety of categories, including apparel, footwear, backpacks, accessories, hard goods, and equipment. Strong experience in rigging, propping, and shaping products using appropriate styling tools is essential. A problem-solving mindset is critical, as you’ll often work with unique or challenging products that require creative, efficient styling solutions.

You’ll collaborate closely with our Creative, Client Services, and Production teams to ensure all styling aligns with client-approved art direction and production timelines. In the studio, production moves quickly and efficiently—with multiple shoots happening simultaneously. As Lead Stylist, you’ll manage on-set teams, ensuring product flows smoothly through the line, and train stylists and assistant stylists in proper techniques to achieve high-quality results in the most time-effective way possible.

Role Objectives

  • Conduct market research and test new styling techniques and ideas to support the development of client-facing briefs, creative kits, and brand guidelines.
  • Develop and implement styling strategies to achieve both creative goals and daily productivity goals.
  • Build styling strategies and execution plans to deliver the agreed upon art direction for clients while meeting ShowLabs’ productivity and performance targets and goals.
  • Style different product types ranging from apparel, footwear, accessories, hardware, and hard goods.
  • Style different production types (pin board, flat lay, on-model, tabletop, and mannequin).
  • Oversee outfitting for on-model productions to ensure wardrobe alignment with creative direction and efficient production flow.
  • Recruit, educate, and train stylists for ShowLabs’ styling program.
  • Communicate processes and standards, and oversee styling teams.
  • Manage and support prep stylists to prep and sequence products for productions.
  • Develop and implement wardrobe and outfitting strategies to meet client and production requirements.
  • Prioritize and organize workload to follow production schedule and deliverables.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional styling experience, ideally in e-commerce or high-volume content production.
  • Deep expertise in styling for apparel, footwear, accessories, and equipment brands.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude with a collaborative spirit.
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and clear communication.
  • Creative problem-solver with a strong understanding of both aesthetics and technical styling requirements.
  • Comfortable managing and using spreadsheets as needed for planning and tracking.
