Start your new career as a Patternmaker with MAU at GIW Industries in Grovetown, GA. As a Patternmaker, you will support foundry operations by constructing precise patterns, interpreting engineering drawings, and operating woodworking equipment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of related experience OR
• 2+  years of technical education in drafting or engineering (or an equivalent combination)
• Training in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Strong mathematical and measurement conversion skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Experience operating woodworking tools and machinery
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Reliable attendance and strong teamwork abilities

What You’ll Do as a Patternmaker:

• Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Calculate and convert drawing dimensions for foundry specifications
• Construct patterns and support equipment from engineered designs
• Perform dimensional layouts for equipment inspections
• Operate woodworking equipment, including saws, lathes, drills, sanders, and planers
• Inspect patterns to ensure they meet engineering and foundry standards
• Report equipment maintenance needs and assist in quality assurance
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and recommend process improvements
