Frances Valentine Sales Associates are responsible for the selling process and client service in order to assist the store team in the achievement of the store sales plan.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Selling, Client Service and Brand Aesthetic

  • Work as a team to achieve store sales goals
  • Understand the brand and company history
  • Be able to communicate the Frances Valentine aesthetic, philosophy and story to the customer
  • Greet and engage with each customer while being able to educate them on the brand
  • Facilitate an energized pace and service-oriented mindset
  • Provide courteous, helpful, and efficient service to customers in all areas of the store, including the sales floor and fitting area
  • Speak effectively to product knowledge, including how items fit, material information, sustainability, and other key features to assist customers in their purchasing decisions
  • Maintain productive customer relationships and provide an approachable, inspiring and personalized shopping experience
  • Utilize slow periods by connecting with clientele on new product, sales, writing thank you notes and follow up on their recent purchases

Operations and Merchandising

  • Uphold all store policies and procedures
  • Be fully versed in all necessary Shopify POS functions to operate a seamless checkout: sales, processing of returns, location of merchandise, ordering merchandise from Boxzooka, ship from store sales and fedex transactions
  • Assist in receiving new shipments, preparing outbound shipments and preparing end of season returns
  • Participate in regular inventory counts and communicate any store losses to SM or Operations Manager
  • Maintain integrity of all visual display presentations
  • Maintain store appearance by assisting with all housekeeping duties
  • Field incoming phone calls, emails, and voicemails and respond in a timely manner
  • Assist with writing a thorough email recap of sales, traffic, and customer connections when closing the store

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills
  • Comfortable with POS and computer programs

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year previous retail experience in a comparable retail environment

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
