3Z Brands / Brooklyn Bedding has an exciting opportunity for a certified,

experienced Industrial Electrician

Job Summary:

The Industrial Electrician will join our Foam pour operations maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems within an industrial environment, with the ability to troubleshoot, install, and maintain a wide range of electrical components and systems.

Education Requirements:

• Associate degree or higher in a related field.
• Equivalent education and training such as completion of an industrial apprenticeship program or military technical training will be considered.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
• Military experience in a technical field may be considered in lieu of traditional experience.
• Required technical expertise in:
• Control wiring and calibration
• Flow, level, and temperature sensors
• PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
• Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical prints
• 3-phase power and variable speed drives
• Industrial controls
• Must be able to:
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Climb ladders and work at heights up to 25 feet

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools (e.g., grinders, drills, saws, drill presses, belt sanders)
• Understand and utilize rigging and lifting equipment (e.g., slings, chain falls, come-alongs, block and tackle, jacks)
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and prints
• Pull fuses, lock out motor starters, and work safely within electrical panels
• Disconnect/reconnect motors and troubleshoot basic control systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems
• Understand and work with power transmission devices and rotating equipment (e.g., gearboxes, bearings, seals)
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical components of production equipment, motors, drives, and power distribution systems
• Maintain electrical systems in both plant and office environments
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues
• Run conduit and pull wire as needed for electrical installations
