The Role As an Organizational Development (OD) Consultant on the Performance & Growth team, you will play a key role in supporting the development and execution of programs and practices that foster continuous performance and growth for our people and organizations. Reporting to the Talent Management Lead, you will collaborate with stakeholders, apply talent management expertise, and contribute to initiatives that drive alignment between talent strategies and business goals. This role provides a unique opportunity to deepen your skills in talent management and organizational development while contributing to Block’s mission of economic empowerment. You Will Partner with team members, HR colleagues, and business stakeholders to support and deliver talent management initiatives that align with organizational priorities. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and/or project manager (PM) to facilitate the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of performance management components such as evaluations, feedback, promotions, goal-setting, and reporting, while ensuring effective execution and alignment with business needs. Utilize strong Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables) and basic data programming knowledge to take our reporting to the next level through gathering, manipulating, and analyzing data, driving actionable insights to measure program outcomes that inform decision-making and enhance talent strategies. Provide insights and recommendations based on talent management best practices and data analysis to enhance programs and initiatives. Contribute to the development and use of tools, methodologies, and frameworks to evaluate and improve talent management program effectiveness. Assist in implementing change-management strategies, including developing communication and readiness materials to support the adoption of new talent programs. Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate Block’s cultural values and employee experience priorities into talent initiatives. You Have 7+ years of experience in talent management, organizational development, or a related field. Familiarity with designing and implementing performance or development programs in dynamic environments. Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and drive operational results through data-informed decision-making. Proficiency with Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables) and foundational programming skills to create reports and analyze and interpret data. Strong communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and insights effectively to various audiences. Experience with change-management strategies for supporting the adoption of new talent initiatives.
