Role Overview

We are hiring a Principal to work directly with the CEO across all aspects of firm building — from sourcing and executing deals to interfacing with LPs, shaping materials, and even standing up internal systems. This is not a single-lane role. It’s a generalist-athlete position for someone who thrives on complexity, ownership, and forward momentum.

This is a rare opportunity to help build a next-generation investment firm from the inside, with meaningful influence on how we invest, communicate, operate, and grow.

What You’ll Do

Deal Origination & Execution

• Source new platform or project opportunities through founder/CEO outreach, channels, and creative sourcing
• Own the full execution stack: diligence, modeling, structuring, legal coordination, and IC materials
• Work directly with management teams to identify risks, structure alignment, and plan post-close execution

Strategic Business Building

• Partner with the CEO on fundraising strategy, LP management, and ongoing investor communications
• Build and refine internal decks, memos, and marketing materials (yes, you’ll make PowerPoints)
• Identify and solve friction points in operations, workflows, and team scaling

Roll-Up-Your-Sleeves Execution

• Set up internal tooling, CRM, data rooms, Airtable views — whatever’s needed
• Jump in on IT, process, compliance, back-office, or operational gaps — we all do what’s required
• Be an internal “Swiss Army Knife” who drives toward outcomes, not just analysis

What You Should Have

• 5–8 years of experience in infrastructure private equity or a related investment strategy
• Experience owning or co-leading deals from sourcing to close — and making them real post-close
• Deep fluency in financial modeling, investment structuring, and legal documents
• Ability to create institutional-grade materials and confidently present to LPs and partners
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapid context-switching between investor, operator, and builder mindsets

Notable Compensation Item

Upside participation, including the potential for management company economics, may be available to the right candidate.

Location

Open to candidates living in Los Angeles in addition to the Orange County area.
